Having worked with or known several kids with childhood cancer I looked for a way to help make their life just a little bit better and fond Wigs for Kids which unlike the other wig program does not charge the kids for the wig. Since the barber shops have been closed most of 2020 and I am a cheap ol' bastard who will not pay $20.00 for a hair cut my hair got a bit long and last Friday I donated it to Wigs for Kids. Now don't let the pictures scare you, LOL
That's a great thing you do donating your hair for the kids. That makes me wounder if there is somewhere around here that will also do the same. My hair is almost down to my belt and would like to that too.
Could be worse, I know a guy who was station at Gito on cuba and could put maybe a mile or so on his bike each day. Couple of times a month the Navy would open the run ways on the air fields so people could run their bikes and car at speed and out of 2nd gear. It was like that when I lived on Guam back in the early 1970s
Took another short Texas ride a few days ago, left Montgomery and headed across the lake to Willis via FM1097 then picked up SH150 off FM1097 and took that past Coldsprings and around the south side of Lake Livingston Dam to Livingston where I picked up Hwy190 east to Jasper and then I took SH63 over to Louisiana and turned around before heading down Hwy 87 then turn south west towards Kirbyville and down Hwy 96 to Kountze and over to Moss Hill where I picked up Hwy 105 back home. About 350 miles give or take a couple of miles. Here are a couple of pictures from today
Good morning everyone and hope you can have a Happy Friday the 13th. 11/13/2020 is the last Friday the 13th of 2020 and I sure hope it is not following in the screwed up footsteps of the rest of the year. Get out and ride if you can. Have a wonderful day and a better weekend.
